Just 3 Hours a Week to Better Health!

Going to the gym doesn’t have to be a huge commitment. Many times, we have these ideas that to get in better shape and accomplish anything we need to go to the gym 5 times a week for 2 hours at a time otherwise it is not worth it.
This isn’t true at all. You have heard us mention this several times and are probably sick of hearing it from us but it’s the consistency that counts. Sure, you can get quicker results from more time committed to exercise but if it is not sustainable, chances are you won’t keep it up and will lose all the gains you had made.
Here is how you can use just 3 hours a week to do everything you need to, to get real lasting results without having to make a trip to the gym an everyday occurrence. (Although you can if it works for your schedule.) We have found 3 workouts for an hour each per week is a reasonable amount of time one can commit while still achieving great results. You could even get away with doing this twice per week and still get really positive results over time if that is all your schedule allows for. Remember, it’s the consistency that counts. Here is what to do.
1. Begin your workout by warming up for 5 minutes on a cardio machine of choice. This is to get your body moving and your heart rate up a bit to prepare your body for the exercise session.
2. Next, complete a full body strength training routine covering all the major muscle groups and movements. It will be 8 to 10 exercises for 2 to 3 sets and take approximately 30 minutes or so. This is the part of the workout you can lose a lot of time on if you get talking between exercises and sets. Try to keep rest times at 30 seconds to 1 minute between sets and exercises for getting the best workout and keeping your workout time down.
3. After you have completed your strength training, hop back on a cardio machine for 20 minutes at the end of your workout for the cardiovascular portion of your workout.
4. After 20 minutes of cardio you finish with a full body stretch routine, cooling down for about 10 minutes.
Done. Total time 1 hour, 5 minutes.
Complete this 3 times per week on non consecutive days.
This is exactly what we teach in our orientation session that is free for all members, so if you haven’t scheduled that and would like to go through it with us, book your time at the front desk.
